What Family Next Step does not do

Family Next Step does not diagnose medical, developmental, learning, or mental health conditions. It does not provide therapy, crisis intervention, legal advice, or emergency support.

When not to rely on this tool

Do not rely on Family Next Step if there is immediate or serious risk, including self-harm, threats of harm to others, abuse, violence, sexual abuse, exploitation, medical emergency, or unsafe home conditions.

What to do in urgent situations
